Our Story
Our story can be found in God's story and what He has been up to in this world. God, in the beginning, created everything good. He created the heavens, the earth, and finally male and female in His own image to enjoy a relationship with Himself. As the creator, God is King and designed how His creation can thrive and experience life to the fullest. The first human beings Adam and Eve decided to rebel against God's rule and design. God gave them up to the desires of their hearts. The broken sin-stained world we live in now is experiencing life in rebellion against God's rule and His design. God throughout the first part of the Bible points forward to a future day when He would establish a divine King, to establish an eternal Kingdom that would bring blessings to the earth. This King is revealed as the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus was the long-awaited King that would establish a new Kingdom. Jesus, God in flesh, lived perfectly under God's Kingship and design. Jesus died on a cross. Jesus rose from the dead. Jesus ascended to be at the right hand of the Father. Jesus now offers the forgiveness of our sins to all who believe in Jesus and turn from their sins to follow Him. Jesus becomes the new treasure and Lord for all who come to follow Him. The reason Jesus did this was to bring glory to God and show His love for people. Jesus wants His message of forgiveness to be spread. Now we await the day when Jesus will return to fully establish His kingdom that will last forever.
Our story finds its place between Jesus first coming and second coming. Jesus commanded His disciples to make disciples who would make disciples. This happened through the passing down of the gospel from generation to generation. Over the past 2000 years, the gospel has been passed down until it arrived to us today. In the late 1800s, a Swedish Baptist church was established in Lake Nebagamon, WI. They had a passion for starting and strengthening new churches. Over the course of the past 125 years, the church has experienced many ups and downs. By 2005, a faithful few older saints made the decision to continue in faith rather than close its doors. Over the course of a decade, they exercised great faith and perseverance. In 2014, God moved the hearts of many people to partner with this church to revitalize and to worship God through the gospel together. The pastoral baton was passed from the John Raimo to Chad Cracraft. The grit of the older saints provided the foundations of a newer generation of people in order to pass down the gospel of Jesus Christ. Since 2014, many changes have taken place as our church has come together. We've grown in a love for God, people, and His mission. Our story is a declaration of God's grace, faithfulness, and love for unworthy people. All praise, glory, and honor be to our God!
